SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Maintenance of youthful skin is one of the main goals of cosmetic aesthetic and surgical procedures. All degrees of aging skin exist, and Dr. Gardner and our staff tailor each skin rejuvenation treatment to every individual. At Radiance Center for Facial Rejuvenation, we have effective treatments available for every level of need. This ranges from the latest advances in medical grade cosmeceuticals to state of the art light and laser treatments. Regardless of your skin rejuvenation challenges and goals, we have the right treatment available for you.
Face Lift
Face Lift is the most time tested and effective treatment for rejuvenation of aging face changes. Deep facial wrinkles, jowling, sagging eyebrows and cheeks, and redundant neck skin and fat are the main targets of face lifting. At Coral Desert Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Gardner will tailor each facelift to fit your individual needs. Dr. Gardner can accommodate your personal desires for less invasive procedures such as the mini-lift of S-lift. For those more interested in maximum results, the more fully rejuvenating effects of classical face lifting will be offered.
Neck Lift
Neck lifting is a more limited form of a facelift. This procedure also can be tailored to fit the individual patient’s needs. Some patients simply require liposuction and/or a small incision under the chin for rejuvenation of this critical aesthetic facial region. For patients with jowling, a mini-facelift can be incorporated to maximize results. Patients with generally youthful upper facial features, who simply want improvement in the jaw and neck lines, are excellent candidates for this procedure.
Brow Lift
Patients with tired or heavy looking eyes often have brow ptosis, or sagging of the eyebrows. With minimally invasive endoscopic techniques, rejuvenation of this area can lead to a refreshed and lighter expression. This procedure is performed through small incisions in the hair or along the hairline in special circumstances.
Blepharoplasty
Time, gravity, and the loss of eyelid tissue strength, leads to redundancy of upper and lower eyelid skin. Excess upper eyelid skin can lead to a tired look with hooding of eyelid skin. This obscures the natural beauty of the contours of the upper eyelid complex. At times, this extra skin can also impair vision. In the lower eyelids, bags or festoons may develop. This is due to protrusion of lower eyelid fat pockets and redundancy of muscle and skin. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, can correct these changes and give your eyes a refreshed and more youthful appearance.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, is performed for both functional and cosmetic reasons. Breathing is the primary function of the nose, and both internal and external nasal factors can contribute to nasal obstruction. The majority of these issues can be addressed surgically to improve breathing. Many patients seek cosmetic improvement in the nose as well. Crooked noses, out of proportion noses, “bumps”, irregularities due to trauma, and many other aesthetically displeasing features can often be improved with nasal surgery. Rhinoplasty can have the dual purpose of improved nasal breathing and improved cosmetic appearance.
Otoplasty/Ear Pinning
Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning, is performed for prominent ears. Many children and adults seek out Otoplasty . In many cases, the ears have become a distracting focal point of facial aesthetics. The ears should not bring attention to themselves aesthetically, as the attention should remain on other more pleasing facial features. Generally this procedure is performed after age 5 or 6, when the ear has achieved 90% of it’s growth.
Cheek Augmentation
Cheek augmentation is used to rejuvenate tired, flat, and deflated cheeks and cheek bones. A variety of different approaches are available to suit the individual patient’s needs and desires. Implants, fat injections, cheek lifts, and other injectable filler products can all help to rejuvenate the cheek/mid-face region.
Chin Augmentation
A well defined chin and jaw line is a desirable aesthetic feature in our society. Sometimes a “weak” chin can also lead to functional problems such as dental occlusion problems and sleep apnea. From a cosmetic standpoint, chin augmentation can be achieved with implants, modification of the mandible bone, or injectable fillers or fat.
Liposuction of the Neck
Liposuction of the neck can be performed as a stand alone procedure, but more often it is incorporated as an adjunct to procedures such as facelift or neck lift. This is performed through small incisions, and fat in the neck can be tailored to the patients needs.
Fat Transfer
As our faces age, multiple factors lead to aging face changes. These factors include gravitational effects, laxity of facial ligaments, skin changes, and atrophy of subcutaneous facial fat. Loss of fat volume is one of the major factors contributing to facial aging. Fat may be harvested from the abdomen or thighs, where it is unwanted, and injected to volumize the face. The added volume gives a healthy, youthful appearance to the face.
COSMETIC INJECTIONS A Youthful Face
Botox
With a few tiny injections, fine lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead can be safely and effectively erased. Botox lasts three to six months.
Dermal Fillers
This method can be used to soften and even temporarily eliminate prominent smile lines and other wrinkles around the mouth as well as frown lines between the eyebrows. You will leave with a more youthful appearance that will last for many months.
Luxurious Lips
As time passes, lips become thinned and less defined. Create a full, more defined lip line with the help of long lasting injectable fillers. Results are immediate and long lasting.
